Herb & Crystal Study Kit
A specimen kit for people working through the herbal and crystal libraries. Twelve dried herbs and nine hand-sized mineral specimens, each labelled with its botanical or mineralogical name, its source, and the date it was packed. The purpose is comparison: reading that mugwort has a silver-green underside to the leaf is not the same as turning the leaf over, and distinguishing carnelian from dyed agate is a matter of holding both.
Assembly happens in small batches in the studio. Herbs are bought from named growers and wholesalers, not repackaged from unattributed bulk, and each is sealed in an amber glass vial with a desiccant. Minerals are rough or lightly tumbled, chosen for diagnostic clarity rather than polish — a specimen with a visible fracture surface teaches more than a bead.

- Nine mineral specimens, including three quartz varieties selected to show the family differences directly
- Printed correspondence sheet, letterpress-printed on cotton board, covering all twenty-one specimens
- Preparation card: infusion, decoction, and dry-storage notes with times and temperatures
- Safety and contraindication guide, including pregnancy and Asteraceae-sensitivity warnings and the minerals that should not be placed in water
- Hardness test card and a steel pick for mineral identification
Who it’s for
Students of the herbalism and crystal pillars who have read the profiles and now need specimens in front of them, and teachers assembling a reference set for a class. The herbs are supplied as study specimens; the kit is not a dispensary and the guide is explicit about what should not be ingested.
Format and shipping
Physical kit, packed in a lidded board box with a labelled tray. Assembled in small batches and dispatched within five working days; ships worldwide, though some botanical material cannot be sent to certain jurisdictions and those substitutions are listed at checkout. Contents are reviewed annually against the current profile library.
