Lenormand Positions Workbook

Most Lenormand study collapses into memorising thirty-six card meanings. That is the smaller half of the system. The larger half is positional: where a card falls, how far it sits from the significator, and which way it faces. This workbook covers that second half in sequence, from the three-card line to the full Grand Tableau, and it assumes you already own a card list.

The method is the one used across the CultIndies reference library. A card contributes a core statement. Its position contributes a field — cause, subject, opening, outcome, house. Its facing contributes a direction of motion. The reading is the composition of the three, in that order. Every exercise in the workbook asks you to produce that composition explicitly before you interpret, which is slower at first and considerably more accurate by the end.

What’s inside

  • Position reference for three spreads: the 3-card line, the 3 × 3 box, and the 36-card Grand Tableau, with house numbering tables
  • Distance and proximity rules, with worked thresholds for near, mid, and far field
  • Directional facing index: which way each of the thirty-six cards looks in the CultIndies reference deck, and how facing modifies a neighbouring card
  • Five sight-line passes for the Grand Tableau — row, column, diagonal, knighting, and mirroring — each with a checklist
  • Twenty-eight graded exercises, from single-position reads to a full tableau, with answer keys and marked commentary
  • Blank spread sheets and a reading log template, formatted for A4 and US Letter printing

Who it’s for

Readers who know the card meanings and still find larger spreads unreadable. It suits self-taught practitioners who want a defensible method rather than a set of aphorisms, and teachers who need exercises they can assign without rewriting. It is not an introduction to the cards themselves; the free reference library covers that, and the workbook cites it throughout.
